Scarves anyone? Because every woman is unique, every woman deserves a unique scarf.

I believe in supporting my friends’ small business ventures. A few months ago, I started thinking about how I would LOVE to highlight, review, and support products, services, and companies I really believe in and feel strongly enough to write about.  Very recently, my friend, Anne Touraine, started a luxury silk scarf company. 

ANNE TOURAINE Paris™ is the first one I am highlighting because I absolutely believe in her and her beautiful scarves. Anne is the epitome of class, style, grace, and kindness. I have known her on social media for many years now, and she has always been an advocate of my writing and a great source of personal and professional encouragement. I love scarves! If you are around me long enough, this will become increasingly apparent. I have more scarves than I care to think about. It is truly a guilty pleasure. I am not really a jewelry or purse girl. But I love to accessories with scarves.

A few times I posted some of the beloved line of skull scarves that Alexander McQueen carries. Anne wasn’t so sure about my love of skulls, but she never judged my taste. 

Since that time, Anne has changed the name of the Facebook page to “Unique Scarves by Anne Touraine”and started her own firm.  I’ll give you a little background about her. In 2003, Anne and her family moved to the U.S. from France. Anne has shared that she was first introduced to silk scarves by her mother, when she was given her first designer scarf for her 16^th birthday. Since then, she has become an avid collector of beautiful scarves. Anne has a background in fashion, after having worked in Paris for L’Oreal and Christian Dior. She continues to wear collect and wear scarves as a way of pampering herself; while adding chic, elegant pieces to her collection has given her a way to make her own statement and style. 

It was really exciting to see her launch this line of truly classic, stunning, luxury scarves. I couldn’t wait to see them! Anne says, “Elegance and style starts with a silk scarf,” and I agree with her!

A few years ago, friends from around the world started asking Anne for advice and seeking ways they too could use scarves to accessorize. She started a coaching business and developed an eBook, “Playing with Scarves, a French Woman Shares her 50 Scarf Styling Secrets.” With the proceeds from her success, she decided to go a step further and actually started creating her own collection. She uses her own name on every scarf, so you know she is dedicated to ensuring quality and style!

When Anne launched her company, I immediately went to the website and I was overwhelmed by her selection. These scarves are stunning! Each one is colorful and uniquely beautiful. In truth, they are less expensive than most high-end purses or shoes, and far more practical. 

When I received my scarves in the mail, I was amazed by the packaging. I had to capture it because I’ve never seen such attention to detail and dedication to quality presentation.

I want to share my honest opinion of the scarves I received from Anne. They are truly beautiful creations. As we get older, and I don’t mean this in a bad way, it is nice to have lovely, unique pieces of clothing and accessories. They make us feel appreciated and provide us with a sense of elegance.

Some women love expensive jewelry, but I find the look and feel of a beautiful scarf much more pleasing to wear. And what is really special about Anne’s scarves is how wonderful it is for me to be able to wear a piece of clothing that was designed by someone I know.
